Both my Bsc and Msci research projects have been conducted under the supervision of the Davison snail lab at the University of Nottingham, using snails collected by past and present lab members and associates.

BSc dissertation: Effect of coexistence on shell polymorphisms of C. nemoralis (L.) when living with C. hortensis (Müll).

  • Looking at the interactions of sympatric populations C. nemoralis and C. hortensis on the sand dunes of Seaton Sluice, Northumberland.

MSci research: mtDNA phylogenies and Cepaea hortensis.

  • using mtDNA to do a phylogenetic study using samples collected from across the globe.
